School Of Rock Milford Is Ready To Rock N’ Roll

Milford grand opening to include food, performances, tours of the school and more.

June 14, 2022 // Franchising.com // Milford, CT. - School of Rock announces the grand opening of a school in Milford, Connecticut. The event will take place at 213 Cherry Street, Milford, CT 06460, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST, on Friday, June 17. The festivities for the event will include a ribbon cutting, pizza truck, raffle, school tours, a staff meet and greet, and student performances.

School of Rock Milford is owned by Heidi Rogers and Kurt Koehler. With Heidi playing bass and Kurt playing guitar, both owners are experienced and passionate musicians. Kurt learned his skills at School of Rock, where he was a student for six years and played in a band with other students. Heidi has experienced the school from a different perspective, with her son having been a student at the Fairfield location for six years. Having seen the benefits of a music education firsthand, their goal is to bring the School of Rock program to as many people as possible.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide opportunities for the community to learn and perform music in a safe, inclusive, fun, and enriching environment,” Kurt Koehler commented. “There is almost no better way to develop confidence, resilience and problem-solving skills than through music education and performance. Add to that the joy of friends and family watching the truly amazing progress, and the musical and developmental results are absolutely magical.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“Heidi Rogers and Kurt Koehler are exactly the type of people we look for to lead a School of Rock franchise,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “They are passionate about their community and eager to provide opportunities for students to further their music education. I look forward to watching School of Rock Milford grow as their students thrive.”
