Local entrepreneur introduces Chill-N’s -320° flash frozen ice cream to Bexar County

July 19, 2022 // Franchising.com // SAN ANTONIO - Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream (Chill-N) announced today that its newest store in San Antonio is now officially open in the Alon Town Center and is introducing guests to its made before your eyes ice cream experience. The San Antonio Chill-N is owned and operated by local resident and entrepreneur Vanessa Richaud.

“We are overjoyed that our Fresh in a Flash approach to ice cream has arrived in San Antonio and know our customers will enjoy the unexpected flavor combinations that drove us to bring the concept to Texas,” said Richaud. “From the moment I locked eyes on how the ice cream is transformed, I knew I needed to bring this reality to my hometown, so everyone could experience how to go above and beyond regular ice cream to a land of fresh ingredients that is flash frozen in front of your eyes.”

Here’s how Chill-N works: customers choose a portion size, then an ice cream base (milk, yogurt, or alt-milk option - coconut, almond, or oat) and then a flavor. Then the fun begins with the addition of premium toppings including candies, cookies and cereal, fresh fruit, sauces, nuts, and even Cuban coffee - because, of course, our Miami roots. Each scoop of ice cream is hand-crafted to order and flash frozen on the spot using liquid nitrogen at a startling -320° Fahrenheit. Chill-N’s unique freezing process results in a fresh ice cream that is ridiculously rich and decadently creamy.

The new San Antonio Chill-N is located at 10003 NW Military Hwy Suite 3109, San Antonio, TX 78231. The store is open Sunday - Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday - Saturday from 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
