Uni K Wax Studios Celebrates Franchise Owners Revitalizing Existing Studios

Edwin Miranda, Brenda Nelson, and Richelly Perez are the franchise owners of the London Square, Pinecrest, and Bal Harbor locations, purchasing them in October of 2020, November of 2020 and May of 2021, respectively.

“It was a bit of no brainer for us,” said Brenda Nelson. “We actually own Lash Lounge locations in the same shopping centers of our first two locations."

Edwin and Brenda initially networked while living in Puerto Rico and working for an advertising agency. A couple of years ago, Edwin and his wife moved to Miami and began looking at franchise opportunities in 2020 – that’s when they found Uni K Wax. “Edwin reached out to see if I’d work with him again on this opportunity. So I moved to Miami a year and a half ago,” said Nelson.

Noemi Grupenmager, Uni K Wax’s Founder & CEO, opened the first waxing studio in 1993 in South Beach.

“We’re so happy to have franchisees like Edwin, Brenda, Richelly,” says Grupenmager. “Of course, we want to expand, that’s very important for our brand, but it’s equally important to welcome strong franchisees. We look forward to watching their continued success.”
