A supplier of small-quantity metals looks to Owen, Charlee and their team to continue to place speed, variety and convenience at the forefront for metal-seeking businesses and consumers. The new ownership seeks to build lasting relationships with new customers while continuing to support existing ones through a commitment to world-class customer service, and by providing any metal, any size, cut and ready fast.

Metal Supermarkets Portland offers 8,000 types, shapes and grades of metal, cut to each customer’s exact specifications. Metal Supermarkets is the trusted metals supplier for local manufacturers, machinists, maintenance and repair, tool and die shops, hospitals, hotels, universities, schools, homeowners, artists, hobbyists and more in Portland.

“With more than 16 years of experience in metal processing, fabrication and manufacturing in addition to a strong sales background, I feel ready to take on business ownership, especially with the support of an established franchisor,” said Owen, the new co-owner of Metal Supermarkets Portland. “Taking on ownership, alongside my wife Charlee, of a well-established brand in the Portland community is a huge honor and we look forward to serving the community and building relationships with local residents and businesses.”

Owen and Charlee bring with them years of experience in the metal industry as well as robust knowledge of materials, metal consumers’ priorities and needs and common applications for where and how metal is used. Prior to Metal Supermarkets, Owen served as the manager of sales and projects at a metal fabricating company in California as well as the inside sales manager at a fabrication company in Oregon. In both positions, he worked with customers and clients on sales and also handled the technical aspects of management. Charlee has also held various customer service positions throughout her career. Their combined metal and customer service experience will significantly help them as they take on responsibility of this new store.
