StretchLab Receives Accreditation of Brand’s Flexologist Training Program from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE)

November 17, 2022 // Franchising.com // IRVINE, Calif. - StretchLab announced today the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) has accredited its proprietary Flexologist Training Program (FTP) for a five-year period. This accreditation means that all Flexologists trained through StretchLab after August 2021 will now hold a nationally recognized certificate in assisted stretching.

“We want to make sure the public knows they can trust Flexologists at our studios to provide scientifically-backed, nationally accredited wellness services,” said Austin Martinez, MS, ATC, CSCS and VP of Training and Experience for StretchLab.

StretchLab received ICE accreditation of its Flexologist Training Program by submitting an application demonstrating the program’s compliance with ICE 1100:2019 – Standard for Assessment-Based Certificate Programs. ICE 1100 was first published in 2009 as the first standard for assessment-based certificate programs. The Standard is approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for adoption as an American National Standard. StretchLab’s training program consists of 50-70 hours of curriculum focused on stretching, flexibility and mobility training.

Established in 1977, the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) (formerly the National Organization for Competency Assurance) is the leading international membership organization representing the credentialing community. ICE fulfills its mission through the delivery of education and training programs, in setting quality standards for credentialing, and by providing accreditation services. The ICE membership is composed of credentialing organizations, testing companies, and individual professional development consultants.

At StretchLab, clients work one-on-one with highly trained Flexologists™ in an open, modern and friendly environment to increase mobility and flexibility and achieve a deeper, more advanced stretch than one can get on their own. Studios utilize Physmodo MAPS technology, which tracks mobility, muscle activation, posture and body symmetry, to create individually tailored and more holistic stretching programs for clients to achieve their wellness goals.
