School Of Rock Northshore Is Ready To Rock N’ Roll

December 06, 2022 // Franchising.com // MANDEVILLE, LA. - School of Rock announces the grand opening of a new school in Mandeville, LA. The event will take place at 1872 N Causeway Blvd, Mandeville, LA. 70471 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. CST, on Saturday, Dec. 10. The event festivities will include performances by the Baton Rouge and Metairie/New Orleans school house bands, tours of the school, tuition incentives and food and drinks.

The Northshore school is led by owner CR Gruver. CR has been a professional musician for over 30 years, with the last 25 spent touring nationally. He discovered School of Rock while looking for music camps for his 5-year-old daughter, but there were no nearby School of Rock locations at the time. That's when CR realized he wanted to open a School of Rock location and educate children in his area who aspired to be musicians in the same way he did as a child.

“We are excited to offer the opportunity for young people to have access to musical programs and education in the community of Northshore. We look forward to lifting up live music in the region, helping to establish music events, supporting music venues, and nurturing the music community,” said CR.

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“CR has such a strong motivation for providing students with creative and personal development through music education,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “I know he will go above and beyond in delivering upon our purpose. I am excited to see how this new school will positively impact the lives of its students and the community as a whole.”
