Dave’s Hot Chicken Bringing Four Units to Connecticut

March 03, 2023 // Franchising.com // HARTFORD, Conn. — Dave’s Hot Chicken announced today it has inked a franchise agreement with John Coughlin and his family to open four locations in Hartford, Connecticut.

Bill Phelps, CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken said, "We look forward to supporting John and his family as they bring the brand to the Connecticut market hungry for Dave’s Hot Chicken.”

As an entrepreneurial family that has owned and operated Dunkin’ locations in Connecticut, John alongside his wife, daughter and two sons are the perfect team to bring Dave’s Hot Chicken to Hartford.

Founded by Arman Oganesyan, classically-trained chef Dave Kopushyan and brothers Tommy and Gary Rubenyan in early 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken initially opened as a parking lot pop-up, with lines quickly wrapping around the block.

Specializing in hot chicken tenders and sliders, with spice levels ranging from “No Spice” to “Reaper,” each restaurant also serves sides of house-made Kale Slaw, creamy Mac & Cheese and crispy Fries or Cheese Fries.
