British Swim School Announces New Metro Chicago Locations

The ‘Learn to Swim’ Provider to Hold Lessons in Joliet and Shorewood

JOILET, ILL. (PRWEB) March 15, 2023 - British Swim School continues its expansion with the opening of its newest franchise, British Swim School of Southwest Chicagoland. Two new locations at the LaQuinta Hotel in Shorewood and the Chicago Sports & Fitness Club in Joliet will be available to take lessons at.

The newly opened locations provide even more options for Chicago residents to learn the survival-first swim lessons British Swim School. New owners Julia and David Newton were eager to begin a new opportunity in their professional lives. Julia is a former graphic artist, while David has most recently worked as an I.T. professional. The Newtons are excited to continue the push of a survival-first approach to the Chicagoland area.

“We noticed that there are very few swim schools in the Joliet area and surrounding communities,” Julia pointed out. “We are thrilled to be able to bring British Swim School of Southwest Chicagoland to this area as swim safety is a vital skill for people of all ages to learn.”

For more than 40 years, British Swim School has been dedicated to teaching water survival skills by teaching infants, children, and adults of all ages the skills needed for water acclimation, water survival, and stroke development. Its mission - ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer.

“Water safety is an important skill for everybody to have, especially young children who may have a fear of the water,” said Julia. “Swim safety means having the confidence that children will feel comfortable in and around water, having fun while engaging in water-based activities safely. Teaching children the skills they need should they fall into any body of water by accident is crucial.”

“I’m happy to welcome Julia and David into our family of franchisees,” said British Swim School President Ashley Gundlach. “They firmly believe in the importance of teaching water safety skills in a manner that is fun for their students, which is a core tenet of our program.”
