The Camp Transformation Center Raises Thousands to Help Fight Childhood Cancer

Fitness Center Owners and Members work together to support St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

March 17, 2023 // Franchising.com // CHINO HILLS, Calif. - The Camp Transformation Center is excited to announce the results of its participation in the 2022 St. Jude Run/Walk fundraiser.

Members from Camp locations around the country organized themselves into 100 teams to participate. Together they raised $28,702. Combined with the $30,000 that The Camp donated as a regional sponsor of the event, The Camp raised a total of $58,702.

“We are so proud of all our franchise owners and members who took part in this fundraiser,” said Alejandra Font, co-founder of The Camp Transformation Center. “The Camp Transformation Center is all about helping individuals transform their lives by adopting healthy habits like exercising. St. Jude’s Run/Walk allowed us to use our love of fitness to raise money for a very worthy cause.”

The money will help support the research efforts of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. As a result of improved treatments developed by researchers at St. Jude’s and elsewhere, the cancer mortality rate for children and adolescents declined by more than 50% between 1975 and 2018. But cancer is still the leading cause of death by disease for children 13 and younger.
