Community Leaders Seize New Business Venture with Legacy Brand

March 29, 2023 // Franchising.com // STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Postal Connections/iSOLD It® announced the Staten Island service center has new ownership with trusted community leaders Kathy and Gene LaColla.

Mike Allen, longtime franchisee, is retiring after 25 years with the brand. He still plans to be actively involved in the business, working part-time as an employee. The LaColla’s will continue to uphold Allen’s legacy and long-standing commitment to the community.

“Given the long connection that Postal Connections has with this community, we are honored to give back with our services,” said Kathy LaColla. “We aim to continue the renowned service that Mike has worked so hard to build and it’s a pleasure to still have him as a trusted resource. Delivering leading edge customer service is our top priority and we look forward to getting to know all of the loyal Postal Connections customers over the coming months.”

Staten Island’s Postal Connections service center offers printing, notary services, passport photos, fax sending & receiving, digital fingerprinting, lamination and binding, shredding services and virtual mailbox service with email notification when mail arrives. Customers, located anywhere, can decide if mail should be held, opened and scanned to send or discarded.

“Postal Connections has been a respectable, long-standing pillar in the Staten Island community thanks to Mike and his dedication to the business. I’m confident that Kathy and Gene will continue to uphold its strong reputation,” said Fred Morache, COO of Postal Connections. “Their strong ties to the community combined with their exceptional management skills make the perfect pairing to deliver the trustworthy and friendly service that our customers expect.”
