Handshoe has spent the last 20 years in the staffing industry and has worked at nearly every level, from temporary associate working in a factory to regional director of a staffing agency.

AtWork, headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., places talented professionals into administrative, light-industrial, accounting and finance, hospitality, IT, and management-level positions at some of the nation’s largest and most recognizable companies.

“We are extremely proud to offer our staffing services to another city,” said Jason Leverant, President and COO of AtWork. “We put people to work last year, and our new location will help us continue our mission to provide service to job seekers looking to make the next move in their career, as well as leading businesses who want to grow local economies and strengthen their communities.”

The new AtWork location opened Feb. 6. Handshoe, AtWork’s new owner, is a valuable member of the local community. He’s dedicated to helping the area’s economy thrive by connecting qualified workers with rewarding opportunities.

“AtWork was the perfect fit for me and provides me the opportunity to help companies and job seekers in my community,” said Handshoe. “At my location, we focus on building relationships with our clients to help them find the perfect fit. I offer a unique advantage for clients as I’ve worked in various roles in the staffing industry, plus I’m well-versed in various sectors, especially in light industrial. Kalamazoo has thriving manufacturing and production industries.”
