Franchise Pioneer Taps Commercial Cleaning Veteran for Lead Role

May 17, 2023 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA, Ga. - ServiceMaster Clean® announced that Joshua Ussiri has been named president.

Ussiri has over 10 years of experience at various levels of ServiceMaster Clean, starting as a frontline service provider to franchise owner to ServiceMaster Clean brand president. As an owner, he achieved remarkable growth. Over his five years as an owner, he quadrupled monthly system sales and established a second location in central Illinois.

In 2021, he transitioned from franchisee to franchisor when he joined the support center team as Sr. Director of Operations and later President. In his tenure as Sr. Director, Ussiri played an instrumental role in developing ServiceMaster Clean’s strategy and led a network of franchises in the United States. He spearheaded transformational changes that accelerated sales growth and delivered operational excellence by focusing on honing the capabilities of franchises to drive market share growth.

Ussiri holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Geis College of Business and a bachelor’s in communications and economics from Hanover College in Indiana.
