In-Home Senior Care Service Opens in Northwest Atlanta

Senior Helpers offers seniors the ability to age in place at home safely

May 25, 2023 // // ATLANTA - Senior Helpers is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location in Northwest Atlanta.

The location, owned and operated by passionate senior care advocate June DesChamps, opened on May 22 and will serve Douglas, Cobb, and Fulton counties. Senior Helpers of Northwest Atlanta offers an array of services to help people age comfortably and safely in their homes, from assistance with daily activities to specialized care for chronic diseases.

"I'm extremely passionate about our senior community and those with disabilities. I'm committed to providing exceptional care and support to not only local seniors but my team of caregivers, too," said DesChamps, owner of Senior Helpers of Northwest Atlanta. "With my experience in customer service and healthcare, compassion, and knowledge, I am excited to lead a team that provides outstanding care to our seniors in Northwest Atlanta."

DesChamps understands what it's like to worry about the care of a loved one from afar. She moved her mother from Charlottesville, Virginia, to the Atlanta metro in 2020, so she and her family could help care for her. However, she recognizes that not all seniors are as fortunate as her mother to have a large family surrounding them and pouring their love into caring for them. DesChamps knows caregiving is a tough job, which is why she emphasizes a high level of training, support, and appreciation for her caretakers.

"The caregiver is crucial to the in-home care experience, and they're experiencing burnout at an unprecedented rate. I plan to provide my caregivers with the best-of-the-best training and support so they can give 110% to their caretaking," explained DesChamps.

Senior Helpers is known for their dependable, consistent, and affordable non-medical senior care services. That's thanks to its rigorously screened and highly trained caregivers dedicated to delivering compassionate care while maintaining the dignity and independence of their clients.

Senior Helpers of Northwest Atlanta offers the exclusive LIFE Profile program, a data-driven assessment tool that reduces hospitalizations and supports aging in place. In addition, caregivers are trained through the Senior Gems program for Alzheimer's and dementia, which was created in partnership with nationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow. Other specialized programs are offered for Parkinson's care, transitional care, surgery assistance, and veteran's care.

"DesChamps is the ideal Senior Helpers franchisee," says Peter Ross, CEO and Co-Founder of Senior Helpers. "Her background in healthcare and community service, combined with her passion for serving the senior population, makes her the perfect candidate for us. We can't wait to watch her business grow and see more Atlanta residents experience the compassionate hand of a Senior Helpers caregiver's service."

Senior Helpers of Northwest Atlanta is located at 696 Concord Road, Suite B, Smyrna, GA 30082.
