Pet Evolution Hosted First Annual Charity Washes for Wishes Event

The Health-focused dog food & supply brand raised thousands for national partner Make-A-Wish on World Wish Day

May 31, 2023 // Franchising.com // WOODBURY, Minn. – Pet Evolution recently hosted its first Washes for Wishes Event to celebrate World Wish Day, raising thousands of dollars for its national partner Make-A-Wish.

Pet Evolution first announced its national partnership with Make-A-Wish in 2021 to help give back to the communities it operates in. The partnership is company-wide, extending to every location of the brand. This year for the first time, they hosted a charity event for World Wish Day on April 29, offering self-serve dog washes for a minimum $20 donation to Make-A-Wish. In total, Pet Evolution raised over $3,700 across its locations, with a total of 185 self-serve washes given.

World Wish Day is an annual Make-A-Wish event, commemorating more than 40 years of granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Last year, Make-A-Wish granted nearly 27,000 wishes globally to bring hope and joy to those in need.

“We are so proud to have raised almost $4,000 for such an amazing cause,” said Rian Thiele, Co-Founder of Pet Evolution. “Make-A-Wish is an important partnership for us, and we plan to make our Washes for Wishes an annual event to continue raising money for children around the world.”

This is not the brand’s first event with Make-A-Wish. Pet Evolution has worked with Make-A-Wish children before, both through other fundraising events like Pet Photos with Santa, and directly by offering Make-A-Wish children the opportunity to spend a day in the facility with their pet.
