Three Dog Bakery Mansfield Celebrates Rescue Pup’s Universal Birthday this DOGust

Monthlong paw-ty includes dog-friendly birthday cakes and fundraising efforts for local shelters and rescues 

July 28, 2023 // Franchising.com // Mansfield, TX.— Three Dog Bakery is helping rescue dog owners celebrate their beloved furry family members by supporting local rescues and shelters across the country throughout the month of August. Three Dog Bakery’s DOGust celebration honors DOGust 1 (or Aug. 1) as a nationwide recognition of the unknown birthdays of shelter dogs. The DOGust initiative was started by the North Shore Animal League American in 2008 and is now recognized by shelters across America.  
 
Dog owners of Mansfield are invited to Support North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue through the sale of a special limited edition bandana and to celebrate their own rescue dogs by purchasing the bakery’s ever-popular, drool-worthy birthday cakes.  These cakes, available in various colors, can be personalized to add a special touch. Customers can also request grain-free birthday cakes for their best friends. To spread the love, Three Dog Bakery will donate a large celebration bone cake to North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue, to help them host a small birthday party for their furry residents.   
 
“DOGust is all about celebrating furry friends everywhere, whether they’re in our homes or in the shelters,” said Ally Homa, Bakery Marketing Director. “Dogs give us unconditional love every day and they all deserve to be celebrated. Last year across our network of bakeries, we raised $20,000 from our bandana fundraiser, and we were able to give dogs everywhere an amazing birthday.”
