Mother-Daughter Duo Open Sylvan Learning Center in Albertville

Local Community Can Now Access Supplemental, Enrichment Education Services For Students Grades K–12

September 20, 2023 // Franchising.com // ALBERTVILLE, Minn. - Sylvan Learning has opened its newest franchise location in Albertville, Minn. at 5585 LaCentre Ave. near Coborn’s Grocery shopping center.

Sylvan Learning Albertville is locally owned by mother-daughter duo, Suzanne and Morgan Flottmeier. Morgan began her journey with Sylvan as a part-time tutor then quickly grew into the role of center director of two centers.

“My mom encouraged me to take the next step into owning my own Sylvan center, and I told her ‘not without you!’” said Morgan. “I knew our combined experience and shared passion for helping students, along with Sylvan’s resources and support, would bring huge value to our community. We’re excited to be a family helping other local families!”

“My whole life has been dedicated to helping my kids, volunteering at school, and being around other families,” said Suzanne, who was a stay-at-home mom before venturing into business with her daughter. “This is a logical leap from what I was doing as a mom to helping other kids at Sylvan. Doing this with my daughter is icing on the cake!”

Sylvan Learning serves as a resource for students as they work to recover from pandemic-related learning loss. Sylvan’s proven tutoring approach and advanced technology-based curriculum are designed to give each student a personalized, trackable plan to achieve their educational goals.
