Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services Recognizes Top Franchise Owners

October 24, 2023 // Franchising.com // PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services honored top-performing franchisees and those who reached sales milestones during the annual owners’ retreat, which was held Sept. 27-30 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Office Pride of Richmond-Centerville (Indiana), owned by Mike Straszheim, was named the Franchise of the Year.

This year, Office Pride presented the inaugural Richard Ollek Training Award to Greg Carr, co-owner of Office Pride of Tampa-Clearwater (Florida). Ollek, who died in 2021, was a successful independent business owner in the commercial cleaning industry who served on the Office Pride Board of Advisors and was a mentor to Office Pride Founder Todd Hopkins. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate unparalleled excellence in employee training.

Other individual awards presented were:

Core Values Award: Jassen Martin, Office Pride of Richmond-Centerville

Beverly McQueen Brand Ambassador Award: Brenda Davis, Office Pride of York-Stewartstown (Pennsylvania)

Integrity Award: John Francis, for service on the Office Pride Board of Advisors from 2012-2022

Salt & Light Award for community service (3 winners):

  • Office Pride of Pensacola-Downtown (Florida), led by Samantha Hollinghead, organized a diaper drive among employees that collected 85 packages of diapers for the Florida Baptist Children’s Home.
  • Office Pride of Huntsville (Alabama) is involved with several community organizations, most notably Lincoln Village Ministry, and adds one new one every year. This year, they added New Hope Children’s Clinic and worked with Whitesburg Christian Academy on its Missions Lab and creating “bags of blessings” to distribute.
  • Office Pride of Fort Myers-Cape Coral (Florida), led by owner Bill Staggs and Director of Operations Trent Howe, collected and distributed donations for Hurricane Ian disaster relief in their community.

Rookie of the Year: Nick Morris, Office Pride of Paducah-Murray (Kentucky)

Employee of the Year: Tony Gray, Office Pride of Louisville-Jeffersonville (Kentucky)
