Gillig Winery Presented With “Do Good Award” During Findlay Hancock Chamber of Commerce’s 60th Annual Awards Gala

November 16, 2023 // Franchising.com // FINDLAY, Ohio - Gillig Winery received the City Apparel sponsored “Do Good Award” during the Findlay Hancock County Chamber of Commerce’s recent 60th annual awards gala. The winery was recognized for its involvement in the Findlay community, including volunteering and supporting several charitable causes.

“My team and I are thankful and humbled to earn this recognition, especially as the award itself aligns with our mission of local community involvement and giving back,” said Nikki Gillig. “We are committed to doing our very best to support our neighbors and look forward to doing even more in the year ahead as a small business within the Findlay community.”

Gillig Winery serves as an experience for wine lovers. All wines are made in-house with classic selections such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as lesser-known grape varietals grown in the further-reaching vineyards of Italy, France, New Zealand, Chile and Germany. The micro-winery features a food menu, wine tastings, custom wine bottle labeling, a large outdoor patio, wine clubs and more. With Nikki Gillig at the helm, the winery prides itself on active involvement in local non-profit and charitable organizations, including Awaking Minds Art, Mission Possible, Hope House, Women’s Resource Center and City Mission, among others. The winery has always offered a complimentary private meeting room to local non-profit organizations. Nikki and her team also love to work with other local small businesses, collaborating with them and offering unique wine and food pairing events.

Every year, the Findlay Hancock County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards aim to shine a spotlight on the individuals whose entrepreneurial spirit and drive build the community and boost the economy. Winners of the annual Small Business Awards competition are nominated by members of the Findlay and Hancock communities.

Gillig Winery is located at 1720 Northridge Rd, Findlay, OH 45840. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
