SYNERGY HomeCare Announces Newest Franchise North of San Antonio

November 21, 2023 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. - SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its newest franchise in South-Central Texas, SYNERGY HomeCare of Boerne.

The company is led by Bettina McGriggler, the award-winning owner of nearby SYNERGY HomeCare of Greater San Antonio, who has over ten years of leadership experience in the home care industry and is now using that knowledge to open her second location.

Headquartered at 920C E Blanco Road in Boerne, TX., the company assists residents of Kendall and Kerr counties with a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

After spending over a decade leading SYNERGY HomeCare of Greater San Antonio, where she received numerous awards from Home Care Pulse, McGriggler recognized the growing need in nearby communities for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over 65. According to the AARP, over 90% of this demographic reports they want to remain in their own home for as long as possible.

McGriggler is the latest among many public servants within her family. She was raised in a household that prioritized giving back and was taught that business should be a “head-heart match,” meaning that it should be a solid business opportunity focused on providing a valuable service to the community. Pursuing the home care industry was a natural choice.

Before McGriggler settled on opening a business in home care, she spent several years working in corporate America, holding positions in operations, human resources, project management, marketing, and information technology. Today, like many families, she juggles a professional career and is a family caregiver. These experiences provided McGriggler with not only business management skills but also the ability to empathize and provide proper care for a loved one battling the difficulties that come with the aging process.

This background has proven to be extremely beneficial to McGriggler as well as the clients she has the opportunity to assist. In her ten years of ownership with SYNERGY HomeCare of Greater San Antonio, she has been recognized for service excellence by Home Care Pulse, most recently receiving the 2023 Provider of Choice, which is given to the franchisee with the highest client satisfaction scores, the 2023 Employer of Choice, which is given to the franchisee with the highest employee satisfaction scores, and the 2022 Leader in Experience Award, which is one of the most prestigious Home Care Pulse awards, given to only the top 10% of performers.

“Our mission with SYNERGY HomeCare is to set the standard for quality, availability, and care coordination with all families and health care providers in South Central Texas,” says McGriggler. “I have first-hand experience dealing with the intricacies of the aging process and I want to offer families a centralized source of support for all home care needs to simplify that process as much as possible.”

McGriggler’s culture of care has earned her business several glowing reviews and has changed the lives of many families in South Central Texas. One such client review says, “I can’t speak highly enough about them. The staff are the absolute best. They are dependable, honest, trustworthy, and most of all, they really love and care for their clients. Five stars don’t even come close to how we feel about them.”

With hands-on knowledge of the area's specific needs, McGriggler and her staff dedicate themselves as a local support system for nearby families. Many of these clients rely on caregivers for assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Some even require personal care such as help with bathing, dressing, or toileting.
