Shaquille O’Neal-Owned Big Chicken Announces Second Location in Eastern Michigan

December 07, 2023 // Franchising.com // HARTLAND, Mich. – Big Chicken announced today the signed lease of its newest location in Hartland, Michigan. This will be the second location to debut in the state following the brand’s inaugural opening in Clio.

Part of a 20-unit agreement with the seasoned operators behind H&D Group Investments, Big Chicken in Hartland will be located at 1050 Highland Road near the shopping center off of Enterprise Drive and is expected to open in the spring of 2024. 

“We’re pleased with the progress we’ve made thus far in securing premium real estate to open Big Chicken locations across eastern Michigan,” said a spokesperson from H&D Group Investments. 

“Our talented partners with H&D Group Investments are a powerhouse team who have a passion for bringing BIG fun to more families throughout eastern Michigan,” said Big Chicken CEO Josh Halpern. “They have a great understanding of what Big Chicken is all about, and we’re thrilled to see how they will continue to scale the brand’s presence across the Midwest. Big Chicken currently has locations open in Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Seattle; Houston; Gilbert, Arizona; Rosemont, Illinois and in the Dayton, Ohio region, as well as in metro-New York’s UBS Arena, The Comcast Center in Philadelphia, The Moody Center in Austin, ASU’s Mullett Arena, The Footprint Center in Phoenix, Palm Springs’ Acrisure Arena, St. Louis’s Busch Stadium, Kansas City International Airport and on three Carnival Cruise ships.
