Cupbop Announces New Director of Operations

January 10, 2024 // Franchising.com // SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Cupbop recently announced the promotion of Gina Silveira as their new Director of Operations. After joining the company in February of 2023 as a corporate trainer, she has quickly advanced to a leadership role to assist in building the company.

Silveira brings to the table an impressive track record of development and growth within her career. Having immigrated to the US from the Philippines ten years ago, she was hired at McDonalds, advancing to General Manager within a year of hiring, and was eventually given her own store. After transitioning to Cupbop earlier this year, she was quickly offered the role of Director of Operations, boasting a skillset including attention to detail, determination to the cause, strong communication, and a passion for the brand. She was drawn to Cupbop by the people in the brand, finding a strong sense of community and belonging within the team.

“I feel beyond blessed to be a part of Cupbop,” said Silveira. “Working in a third world country inspired me to push myself to where I am now, and motivated me to get to this point. I’ve always had a big dream – I truly believe if you don’t dream, you can’t achieve it. I now look forward to being part of such an incredible, strong brand, and I know the Cupbop team will have my back throughout our journey.”

As a new leader at Cupbop, Silveira plans to work hard to protect and elevate the brand, prioritizing the quality of the food and strong customer service. Leading by example, she is committed to achieving all tasks, both big and small, ensuring she builds a strong internal team to help her in her mission.

“As a leader, I pride myself on operating hands-on,” continued Silveira. “I strive to build rapport and a real relationship with all my team members, and am not afraid to work long hours to ensure the brand is able to grow and be the best it can be. I am here for the challenge, and ready to do what needs to be done and work towards Cupbop’s mission.”

Founded in 2013 by Junghun Song, the concept of Cupbop originally began as a food truck in Salt Lake City. The fast-casual Korean establishment is committed to providing quality cuisine while showcasing Korean flavors and culture. Serving up tasty noodles, the brand offers a unique take on Korean BBQ classics that puts an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients. Ensuring that everyone can enjoy the Cupbop experience, the brand caters to a variety of dietary needs, providing delicious gluten-free and vegetarian options.

“We are thrilled to have Gina as our new Director of Operations,” said Dok Kwon, Chief Operating Officer of Cupbop. “She has demonstrated an incredible work ethic and drive, not to mention true passion for our brand, and I am fully confident that she is the perfect person to take Cupbop to the next level of quality customer service and food.”
