The star-powered chicken concept founded by legendary basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is set to open at IMG Academy on January 12. IMG Academy provides opportunities for student-athletes from around the world to make their mark. The boarding school and its online products are responsible for filling nearly one-quarter of all college roster spots annually.

“IMG Academy has developed some of the best college and professional athletes who each enter the school to play BIG and win BIG with their teams. Shaquille and Big Chicken are strong advocates for fostering young athletes through BIG fun. I love knowing that the all-stars of tomorrow will be enjoying Big Chicken today,” said Josh Halpern, CEO of Big Chicken.

Offerings at the new location include The Original Big Chicken (Shaq Sauce, chicken breast, and B&B Pickles), Uncle Jerome’s Nashville Hot (Nashville hot chicken, lettuce, mayo and pickles), popcorn chicken, tenders and delicious milkshakes made with real ice cream.

Big Chicken currently has locations open in Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Seattle; Houston; Gilbert, Arizona; Rosemont, Illinois and in the Dayton, Ohio region, as well as in metro-New York’s UBS Arena, The Comcast Center in Philadelphia, The Moody Center in Austin, ASU’s Mullett Arena, Palm Springs’ Acrisure Arena, St. Louis’s Busch Stadium, Kansas City International Airport and on three Carnival Cruise ships.
