Local Couple Opens Sylvan Learning of Celina, Moves into Permanent Location

February 02, 2024 // Franchising.com // CELINA, Texas - Sylvan Learning has opened its permanent location at 1050 S. Preston Road, #116 in the Celina Town Center shopping center after serving students in a temporary center for the last several months.

Sylvan Learning of Celina is locally owned by Shanna and Corey Miller, a husband-and-wife duo who grew up and reside in the local community. Shanna is an educator with experience teaching secondary science in the Frisco Independent School District for more than a decade.

“We’re committed to helping students establish a strong educational foundation because they are the future of our tight-knit community,” said Shanna. “As a former teacher, I knew there was a desperate need for tutoring support right here in Celina. Corey and I felt a responsibility and calling to provide that resource, and we’re thrilled to finally open the doors in our new location.”

Sylvan Learning serves as a resource for students as they work to recover from pandemic-related learning loss. Sylvan’s proven tutoring approach and advanced technology-based curriculum are designed to give each student a personalized, trackable plan to achieve their educational goals.
