Floor Coverings International’s Matt and Tracy Moten named 2023 Franchisees of the Year by the International Franchise Association

February 21, 2024 // Franchising.com // PHOENIX – Floor Coverings International® (FCI) announces Matt and Tracy Moten, have been named as a 2023 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association (IFA). The Motens were honored at the 64th IFA Annual Convention in Phoenix, Ariz., for being outstanding franchise establishment owner-operators.

The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance, and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by Floor Coverings International, Matt and Tracy were selected for their involvement in the Cleveland-South area, embodiment of the entrepreneurial spirit, creation of healthy culture with their workforce, and mentorship of their fellow franchisees.

“Matt and Tracy exemplify what franchising is all about through the quality work they produce, the ways they give back to their community, and how they contribute to our franchise system as a whole,” said Tom Wood, CEO of Floor Coverings International.

Matt and Tracy Moten began their entrepreneurial journey with Floor Coverings International in 2016 and have since serviced hundreds of homes and businesses all over the southern Cleveland area. As active members of Floor Coverings International’s Franchisee Advisory Committee, the Motens mentor potential franchise buyers as well as current franchisees. The husband-wife-duo initiated franchisee-led regional meetings to support Floor Coverings International’s network of owners and build a community of entrepreneurs. On the local level, Matt and Tracy prioritize charitable initiatives through a “Monthly Mission” where they select a different non-profit organization to donate time or money to every month.

“The recognition of 2023 Franchisee of the Year is incredibly humbling to us,” said Matt and Tracy Moten. “Joining the Floor Coverings International system has put us on an exciting path where we have the opportunity to do something meaningful in our community every day.
