SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service’s Mike Guasch Awarded Franchisee of the Year by International Franchise Association

February 21, 2024 // Franchising.com // GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.– SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service® announces Mike Guasch has been awarded the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) prestigious Franchisee of the Year Award. He was honored at the 64th IFA Annual Convention in Phoenix, Ariz., for being an outstanding franchise establishment owner-operator.

The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance, and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by their parent company, individuals are selected for their involvement in their communities, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit, fostering a strong and healthy culture with their workforce, and assisting their fellow franchisees when called upon.

Mike and his wife, Ana, have been staples of the automotive industry and franchise system for over 30 years. In 1992, Mike joined SpeeDee's Corporate Offices and held various positions, including District Manager for California, Regional Manager for the West, and Vice President of Operations before he and Ana went on to purchase their own location in Modesto, Calif. in 2019.

Mike is known for fostering a positive work environment and implementing procedures to enhance employee loyalty and customer service through training and technology investments. In 2017, Mike spearheaded the launch of SpeeDee’s Total Trust Guarantee® Program, demonstrating his commitment to the brand. He is also active in NorCal’s Ad Committee, ensuring strategic marketing decisions benefit his fellow franchisees.
