Spearheaded by the entrepreneurial DeGoey family, the new Zaxby’s stores represent a considerable investment in the local community, and running them will be a family affair. Sons Travis and Thomas DeGoey will manage the day-to-day operations, introducing fresh leadership and innovation into the mix. Their parents Tom and Amy will assist with real estate and site selection.

The DeGoey family's history with successful franchise management, notably with La-Z-Boy franchises in the Southeast, underscores a proven track record of business resilience and acumen. Their journey - from navigating stores through economic downturns to expanding their business footprint - exemplifies a deep-rooted understanding of market dynamics. The decision to introduce Zaxby's into the North Phoenix market was heavily influenced by the city's growth.

The first North Phoenix Zaxby's location is slated to open by November this year in the Goodyear area, specifically at Pebble Creek and McDowell, within the bustling new Market at Estrella Falls development.

The operational helm of the new locations will be in the hands of the DeGoey sons, who are learning the ropes by apprenticing in management roles at several Zaxby’s stores before taking on owner-operator roles.
