SYNERGY HomeCare Expands Its Presence in Eastern Texas

The company is led by Sherry Carag, a physical therapist who understands the power of having a strong support system.

Headquartered at 645 S. Broadway, Suite 3, in Tyler, the company assists residents living in Tyler, Lindale, Longview, Kilgore and Gilmer with a wide variety of non-medical in-home care options from companion care to personal care and respite care.

Carag recognized the growing need in her community for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers.

Carag is originally from the Philippines, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2002 and her master’s degree in 2012. After moving to the United States in 2016, she pursued her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and started an MBA program. She brings her strong culture of valuing and caring for family members everywhere she goes, making her transition into home care a smooth process.

Starting a new life in the U.S. wasn’t easy for Carag and she appreciates the importance of having support when you need it most.

Carag expects the aging community to grow rapidly in the coming years. Many will rely on caregivers for assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some may even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing, or using the toilet.
