Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Norfolk Awarded ‘Best Winery Overall’ at Coastal Virginia Magazine’s 2024 WineFest

March 15, 2024 // Franchising.com // Norfolk, Va. - Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Norfolk, operated by local residents Jason and Dyan Witt, received the ‘Best Winery Overall’ award during Coastal Virginia Magazine (CoVa)’s 2024 WineFest. Wine and spirits lovers from across the state gathered at the Virginia Beach Convention Center February 10 and 11 for the 10th annual Coastal Virginia Magazine WineFest presented by Ashley. Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Norfolk was recognized for featuring an extensive variety of wines from around the world, as well as delivering an exceptional, personal experience.

“It’s an honor to receive recognition from our local community and from the CoVa team,” said Jason Witt. “We remain committed to offering the highest quality of wines for our guests while providing an exceptional experience in the process. Creating fellowship through wine and food is our passion, and we look forward to continuing sharing that with our coastal Virginia neighbors.”

The event featured 18 wineries, a cidery, eight distilleries, a beer garden and as many as 50 other vendors, while attendees enjoyed tastings, food, shopping and live entertainment. Guests were tasked with voting on their favorite wineries and distilleries, and a portion of the proceeds from advance ticket sales benefited the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation.

Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Norfolk has wines made in-house, including popular selections such as Merlots, Cabernets and Chardonnays. The winery also affords guests access to harder-to-find wines, with varieties such as Barolos, Gewurztraminers, Pinotages, Petit Verdot and Ports. Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Norfolk sources grapes globally, allowing the Witts and their team to craft more than 50 different varietals of wine using grapes from the best grape-growing regions around the world – including California, Italy, France, New Zealand, Chile and Germany.

Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Norfolk is located at 6464 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk, Virgina. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.
