British Swim School Expands with New Dallas Location

March 19, 2024 // Franchising.com // HIGHLAND VILLAGE, Texas - British Swim School is excited to announce its newest Dallas metro location is now open. British Swim School of Northwest Dallas opened in Highland Village in early March and are holding lessons at LA Fitness - Highland Village located at 3198 Justin Road FM 407, Highland Village, TX 75077. Lessons run from 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.

Husband and wife Matthew and Carol Heinrich are passionate about making a meaningful impact on lives in their community through life-saving swim lessons. The Heinrichs were inspired by a blend of their personal and professional experiences to open a British Swim School location. Matthew brings 35 years of business experience in roles such as CIO, COO, and CEO of a multi-million-dollar company. Carol is a registered nurse, personal trainer, certified aquatic teacher, and an avid swimmer.

“Swimming is not just a skill; it’s a crucial safety net for children and adults alike,” said Matthew Heinrich. “Our goal is to help equip our students with the confidence and competence to enjoy water safely.”

For over 40 years, British Swim School has been dedicated to teaching water survival skills by teaching infants, children, and adults of all ages the skills needed for water acclimation, water survival, and stroke development. Its mission - ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer.

Across the nation, eleven people die every day from unintentional drownings, with nearly 4,000 deaths occurring each year. Research shows that participation in formal swim programs, such as those offered by British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88% among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning. However, the risk of drowning isn’t limited to children: a Red Cross survey found that more than half of all Americans either can’t swim or don’t have the basic swimming skills needed to save themselves in the event of a water emergency.

“Sadly, we understand these statistics all too well. We have friends who have suffered toddler water tragedies,” Carol explained. “We appreciate the way British Swim School promotes water safety and emphasizes survival skills, which gives our students a better chance of surviving a water accident”.

“The British Swim School family is thrilled to welcome the dynamic duo of Matthew and Carol,” said Ashley Gundlach, President of British Swim School.
