Zaxby’s Adds Second Restaurant to the Alamo City

April 02, 2024 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Zaxby's® is opening its second location in San Antonio at 7304 IH 35 N. The new Zaxby's, owned and operated by San Antonio Foods, LLC, will open for both drive-thru and dine-in on Monday, April 1.

“Texas has embraced our family-owned Zaxby’s in a BIG way these last few years. We continue to be overwhelmed by the local support our restaurants receive and are grateful for the opportunity to deepen our commitment to the people here,” said Melissa Crowe, vice president at Avants Management Group, the parent company of San Antonio Foods, LLC. “In addition to delivering exceptional service and indescribably good chicken to our guests, we plan to partner with the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and local schools in the Windcrest area to give back to the community.”

The classic white farmhouse-style restaurant has an expansive dining room accommodating up to 70 guests. The restaurant features Zaxby's new cutting-edge digital menu boards and a double drive-thru layout, complete with two distinct drive-thru windows for payment and pick-up to streamline to-go service.

Zaxby's serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz™ and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu also features Zaxby’s famous Signature Sandwich, its wildly popular Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries and the brand's fan-favorite Fried Pickles. Most recently, Zaxby’s added Southern Fried Shrimp* as its latest limited time offer (LTO) to its menu. After 30+ years of perfecting chicken, featuring seafood on its menu is a first for the Georgia-based brand. Zaxby’s Southern Fried Shrimp comes as a meal or as a standalone side paired with Zaxtail Sauce, Zaxby’s newest delicious addition to its acclaimed “saucefolio” of 12 signature sauces.

To promote the new LTO, Zaxby’s is offering a FREE side of four Southern Fried Shrimp with $5 purchase from Monday, April 1 until April 7. Guests can redeem the offer by ordering through the Zax Rewardz account online, in-app, or by scanning the QR code in-store.

The new Zaxby’s will join its sister location on Alamo Ranch Parkway and two other restaurants in the greater San Antonio area. “The new location will bring 100 new jobs with career growth potential to the area,” Crowe added.
