New York Fries Opens New Restaurant in Jersey City

April 24, 2024 // Franchising.com // JERSEY CITY - New York Fries announced today its latest opening within the Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City, its third restaurant to open in the U.S. over the last three months.

Slated to officially open on Tuesday, April 23, the new restaurant coming to the Newport Centre is corporate-owned and operated and follows the brand’s recent openings in New York and New Jersey.

New York Fries, operated under Recipe Restaurant Group, features a niche menu starring freshly cut fries, made with Idaho potatoes, served plain or loaded with a variety of toppings including beef chili, pulled pork, queso and crumbled bacon. Also on the menu, a classic Canadian delicacy - poutine - topped with beef gravy and Wisconsin cheese curds for guests to discover and enjoy. Additionally, New York Fries features all-beef grilled hot dogs and an array of delicious, loaded dog options as well.

“Since opening our first two locations on the East Coast, the reception from communities and fry-lovers has been nothing short of amazing,” said Craig Burt, Chief Operating Officer at New York Fries. “Our concept is a great addition to mall food courts and Newport Centre is the perfect place for our next restaurant. As our fresh-cut fries and all-beef grilled hot dogs continue taking over the East Coast, we’re excited to officially open in Jersey City.”

New York Fries differentiates itself by cooking its freshly cut potatoes in non-hydrogenated sunflower oil using a unique 3 stage method. As nothing else goes into the fryers except potatoes, the brand appeals to those with dietary and allergen restrictions, serving vegan, vegetarian and gluten-friendly items.
