Edmonton Kumon Instructor Receives CFA’s Silver Franchisee of the Year Award

April 26, 2024 // Franchising.com // WOODBRIDGE, Ontario - Neelam Bandali, the instructor at Kumon of Edmonton-Windermere, is the silver winner of the 2024 Canadian Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year award in the traditional franchise category. The award was presented to Bandali at the 2024 CFA National Convention Le Westin Montréal, Quebec.

The Franchisee of the Year awards recognize the accomplishments and excellence of CFA member franchisees for their business performance, community service and involvement with their franchise brand.

“I am very honored to receive this award from the Canadian Franchise Association,” Bandali said. “As a Kumon instructor, I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of my students and within my community.”

Winners for the Franchisee of the Year Award were determined by the CFA’s Awards Committee based on the strength of the participating entrants’ award submissions.

Bandali, a mother of two boys, was an accountant before she became a Kumon instructor to fulfill her dream of working with children and helping them reach their full potential.

“Not only does Kumon give children academic confidence, but it also teaches them study skills, how to focus and builds their confidence in self-learning,” she said. “I believe each child has the potential to be an independent learner, and if nurtured and given proper attention, they can reach their maximum potential.”
