Zaxby's Grows in Gwinnett County with New Lawrenceville Location

May 02, 2024 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Zaxby's® is opening its newest location in Lawrenceville at 887 Buford Dr. The new Zaxby's is owned and operated by OC Hospitality, Inc., a subsidiary of Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group and will be open for both drive-thru and dine-in beginning on Monday, May 6.

“As Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group begins to transition to the second generation, we are looking forward to continuing our company growth with our fifth location in Gwinnett County and 10th location overall in the surrounding four counties. We opened our first Zaxby’s here 22 years ago and can’t say enough how loyal the residents have been to our small business,” said Sam Smith, CEO of Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group.

The new restaurant can accommodate up to 56 guests inside its dining room. Constructed by Monroe-based Smith & Co. Inc., it features Zaxby’s classic white farmhouse exterior design. The restaurant is equipped with a double drive-thru to provide fast, top-tier to-go service with fresh, hot food every time.

Zaxby's serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz™ and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. In addition, the menu features Zaxby’s famous Signature Sandwich, its wildly popular Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries and the brand's fan-favorite Fried Pickles. Zaxby’s is also known for its fresh and generously portioned Zalads. Both the Cobb Zalad and House Zalad are served with Zaxby’s signature chicken, fried or grilled to perfection, mixed greens, Texas Toast and a choice of dressing.

Multiunit franchisee Smith was a resident of Gwinnett County for 22 years and currently operates four Zaxby’s locations within the county, including one existing location in Lawrenceville. Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group has partnered with Night to Shine, a nonprofit sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, as well as the nonprofit Bert’s Big Adventure, to give back to the community.
