CycleBar Launches Indoor Cycling Training Program
May 15, 2024 // Franchising.com // IRVINE, Calif. – CycleBar announced today the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) have all accredited its proprietary Indoor Cycling Training Program and have officially recognized CycleBar as a continuing education provider. This certification ensures that all fitness coaches trained through CycleBar’s program will hold a certificate in cycling instruction nationally recognized by ISSA, NASM and AFAA.
Spearheaded by CycleBar’s Manager of Training, Donna Cennamano, CycleBar received its distinction as a continuing education provider by demonstrating the program’s compliance with the three athletics organizations’ various training program requirements to be considered for CEUs credit. Upon completion of the program, trainees will earn 1.9 CEUs for NASM, 15 CEUs for AFAA, and 20 CEUs for ISSA.
CycleBar’s training program is open to all fitness professionals and priced at $400 and may be completed from anywhere between three to five weeks, depending on previous indoor cycling teaching experience. Trainees can expect to devote a recommended five hours a week to develop consistent technique and an understanding of the material. The comprehensive curriculum covers essential aspects of cycling including bike safety, set-up, technique, and song programming to ensure that fitness coaches trained through CycleBar are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
