Wings Etc. Tests Kickin’ Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, Pineapple Chipotle Margarita at Three Missouri Locations

May 24, 2024 // Franchising.com // FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Wings Etc. is trialing a savory new chicken sandwich and smoky-sweet pineapple margarita at locations in Cape Girardeau, Dexter and Jackson, Missouri, beginning May 21.

The Kickin’ Chipotle Chicken Sandwich debuts a Chipotle Aioli sauce crafted from a blend of pureed chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, mayo, and a hint of garlic. The sauce yields a mellow, smoky heat and delivers on the enduring Wings Etc. promise of “Big Flavor.”

The new Chipotle Aioli sauce is served atop Wings Etc.’s signature all-white-meat crispy chicken cutlet with pickles, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a toasted Brioche roll.

The Pineapple Chipotle Margarita pairs the sweetness of Piña Reàl™ pineapple syrup with the zing of lime sour and puréed chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Small-batch Teremana™ Blanco Tequila, founded by Dwayne Johnson and made in the Jalisco Highlands, is the ultra-premium foundation for this spicy-sweet cocktail. The margarita is rimmed with Tajín® Clásico seasoning, providing a citrusy counterpoint to the cocktail’s smoky sweetness.

Chipotle aioli and pineapple chipotle satisfy consumer desires for global flavors that are difficult to make at home, presented in an approachable way with a familiar format.

“We continue bringing ‘Big Flavor’ to the table for our guests,” says Wings Etc. CEO Rob Hensmann. “Our new Kickin’ Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and Pineapple Chipotle Margarita are great options for anyone looking for a little adventure and variety in their dining experience. We’re excited to see how our guests respond to these new options. They are both really delicious and represent our long-term commitment to flavor-forward, fun food and drink.”

The Kickin’ Chipotle Chicken Sandwich includes a side of curly or straight fries; guests can customize the dish by substituting chargrilled chicken or choosing from Wings Etc.’s variety of delectable sides.

The test runs through August 5, 2024.
