Every Day Is Father’s Day at Fix Auto Orangevale
June 26, 2024 // Franchising.com // CHARLOTTE, NC - A first-generation collision repair facility owner in Orangevale, CA, located in the Sacramento suburbs, credits both his father and his three children as the motivation that drives him to succeed.
Jesse Hord, who joined the collision repair industry in 2014, acquired a local collision repair shop in July 2016, and joined Fix Auto USA in 2019. Today, Fix Auto Orangevale offers comprehensive services, from dents to full-body restoration. Differentiated by Gold Class-rated technicians and OEM certifications, they prioritize quality, safety, and reliability. They deliver excellent customer service, helping drivers with insurance claims and keeping them informed throughout the repair process. Hord also opened Fix Auto Capital City in June 2021 and Fix Auto Roseville in September 2021.
Hord follows his father’s quiet work ethic in how he operates his business.
“It wasn’t as much as what he said as what he did,” Hord noted. “He didn’t quit when he got tired, he quit when he was done. His confidence and persistence to push forward, even though he got knocked down more than his fair share, inspired me to work harder and push myself to achieve.”
Hord treasures the memories from his father, and those he shares with his children, and that shapes his personal and business outlook.
“I remember making a snowman with my dad, only to find out that we were making a snowwoman, lol. That was his sense of humor and ability to look at things a different way,” he noted. “My favorite memory as a dad was being allowed the opportunity to deliver all three of my kids and welcome them to the world. I’ve been by their side from the very beginning and look forward to being their champion in the years ahead.”
As a first-generation business owner, Hord admitted it is a learning process, but worthwhile in building something for his children.
“I am the first generation in my family to operate in this industry, and it is a rewarding, fulfilling industry that helps people in their time of need,” he said. “Hopefully my kids will take my place someday. That’s a long way out though, so I have years to show them how they can have a valuable role in this industry, too. I hope to continue to build a foundation my kids can run with when they’re ready!”
