Multi-Unit Eggs Up Grill Franchisee Signs Deal for Six Restaurants in Charlotte, N.C.
August 23, 2024 // Franchising.com // SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Eggs Up Grill has signed a six-location development agreement with Conley McIntyre for the Charlotte, N.C. market, plus one additional restaurant in Travelers Rest. S.C., for a total of seven. The agreement is part of Eggs Up Grill’s rapid new restaurant growth as it is quickly becoming the largest franchised, full-service better breakfast concept in the U.S. marketplace. McIntyre also owns six Eggs Up Grill restaurants in South Carolina; his first location in the Charlotte metropolitan area will open later this year in Monroe County. He will own a total of 13 restaurants once development is complete.
McIntrye joined the Eggs Up Grill brand eight years ago when he combined forces with his mother, who owned a franchise in Greenville, S.C. After her retirement, he purchased the location and has continued to grow the brand throughout the Upstate of South Carolina. His restaurants are the fastest-growing in the Eggs Up Grill system; one of many reasons he says he chose to expand.
“This next phase of growth for me is really just the beginning of what I plan to accomplish,” said McIntyre. “To be honest, I just love going to work every day. I love the breakfast space, the hours and that our potential is limitless.”
McIntyre spends a lot of time in Charlotte, N.C. with his family as he is a diehard Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets fan, which is one reason why the market was a perfect fit. He also says the level of support he receives from his franchisor made the decision very easy.
