LaRosa’s Makes Buddy Card Better

August 26, 2024 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, OHIO - LaRosa’s is making the popular neighborhood fundraiser even better, with $15 going to the team or club for each $20 Buddy Card they sell.

The Buddy Card program is an essential part of LaRosa’s commitment to giving back to the community.

The launch of the improved Buddy Card also celebrates founder Buddy LaRosa’s 94th birthday (August 25), as well as LaRosa’s 70th anniversary. With the new fundraising price, the amount raised through Buddy Card program will grow significantly. “If the same number of Buddy Cards are sold this year as were sold last year, but at $20 per card, we will help raise over $1.3 million to support local groups, teams and schools, as well as The LaRosa Family Foundation, in just one year – that would have an incredible impact,” said Mike LaRosa, CEO of LaRosa’s, Inc.

Each Buddy Card is good for 14 deals - one large cheese pizza FREE with the purchase of any large pizza - which can be used for dine-in and pick-up orders. The Buddy Card creates $200 in savings for just $20, making the Buddy Card the best deal that LaRosa’s offers Guests.

Buddy Cards have traditionally been sold by groups and organizations to fund their activities. More recently, they’ve also been offered at LaRosa’s pizzerias. With the new price, $15 of the cards sold at pizzerias will go to support local kids through The LaRosa Family Foundation. LaRosa's retains only $5 from each card sold to cover program expenses.

The LaRosa Family Foundation was launched in 2020 on Buddy LaRosa’s 90th birthday by his family to ensure that Buddy’s spirit of community support would continue for decades to come. The Foundation supports programs that focus their efforts on making kids better through youth/adolescent development, education, athletics and life skill training.

Guests can purchase LaRosa’s Buddy Cards through participating teams, clubs and schools, or at any LaRosa’s Pizzeria.
