SYNERGY HomeCare announced it's newest location in the Atlanta Metro Area

September 17, 2024 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. – SYNERGY® HomeCare has announced its newest franchise located in the Greater Atlanta Metro area, SYNERGY HomeCare of Fayetteville.

The company is led by Nigel and Michele Gauntlett, who have an extensive background in caring for people with disabilities and are ready to broaden their scope of care.

Headquartered at 288 Highway 314, Suite C in Fayetteville, the company assists with a wide variety of non-medical in-home care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.

The Gauntletts saw a growing need for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over 65. According to the AARP, over 90% of this demographic reports wanting to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

Nigel has always been passionate about serving others, a commitment that began in 2007 when he started working toward bettering the lives of individuals with disabilities. His experience over the years transformed his outlook, making caregiving a central part of his life. In 2021, he co-founded a Supported Living Service agency focused on serving individuals with disabilities. However, after discovering SYNERGY HomeCare's broader scope of care services, he sought to expand his impact even further. His dedication to caregiving is deeply personal, as he provided end-of-life care for his grandfather in 2012 and his father last year.

Nigel has also been an active volunteer at the River City Food Bank in Sacramento and has served as a volunteer adviser for the California Autism Association. His career includes significant roles at Pride Industries, where he contributed to providing meaningful employment for individuals with developmental disabilities, and at a Supported Living Services agency, where he advanced from caregiver to supervisor and manager before eventually owning his own agency. Under his leadership and with the help of his wife Michele, the agency supported 13 clients with disabilities and managed a team of 40 employees.

“At SYNERGY HomeCare of Fayetteville, we build connections and momentum in people’s lives,” said Nigel. “We have seen firsthand how impactful compassionate care is and how it has improved lives in ways our clients have never expected. Whether your loved one needs a little bit of help or a lot, we will always be there to provide the compassionate and attentive care your loved ones deserve.”

The Greater Atlanta Metro area is home to a number of hospitals and senior facilities. Many members of the local population rely on caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.
