D1 Training Announces Shad Meier as Vice President of Construction Management

October 03, 2024 // Franchising.com // NASHVILLE – D1 Training announces the appointment of Shad Meier as Vice President of Construction Management.

A former NFL player for the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints, Meier brings together his passion for sports and expertise in the construction management space to D1 Training. Since his time with the league, Meier has built a strong resume of experience in real estate, property rehabilitation, land development, and construction management. He comes from the Robins & Morton firm, where he helped lead complex healthcare projects at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

As the Vice President of Construction Management, Meier will be responsible for overseeing franchisee buildouts, aimed at facilitating the establishment and operation of franchisees' businesses to maximize their positive impact on the communities they serve.

“I am thrilled to be part of a high-octane team achieving great things,” Meier said. “This opportunity perfectly combines my two passions: athletics and construction. I bring a high level of professionalism to both areas and am excited about the prospect of helping D1 achieve similar excellence.”

The industry remains strong as ever. The competitive landscape of youth sports is ever changing and having access to a place like D1 - where young athletes can hone their skills – is becoming increasingly important.

All D1 Training locations offer three core training programs, Scholastic (Rookie, Developmental, Prep and Overtime), Adult and Pro. Each fitness program is based on the five athletic-based tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. Outside of group workouts, D1 offers one-on-one training.
