Spherion Mid Ohio Expands Workforce Solutions to Three New Counties
October 22, 2024 // Franchising.com // SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) Mid Ohio is expanding its professional and full-service range of workforce solutions to Summit, Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties. Under the leadership of Beth DeLaney and her experienced team, the company is bringing more than 20 years of local staffing expertise to these new areas.
“After years of building strong relationships and serving our neighboring communities, we’re excited to bring our extensive network and personalized services to Summit, Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties,” said DeLaney. “We understand that the current hiring market is challenging, but our team is more committed than ever to connecting local businesses with talented job seekers and facilitating meaningful employment opportunities.”
DeLaney operates four Spherion offices in Ashland, Mansfield, Orrville and Willard, and supports additional locations with hybrid/remote offices. Since opening her first Spherion office in 2002, DeLaney has established a strong reputation for excellence and community commitment. She is proud of her team’s success in connecting job seekers with opportunities across diverse industries, including administrative and clerical, light industrial, skilled trades, professional sectors and more. As the company expands its reach, DeLaney’s focus on delivering specialized workforce solutions will continue to drive the company’s mission to effectively support businesses and job seekers.
“Expanding into these new counties is a significant milestone for us,” said Ann Smith, president of Spherion Mid Ohio, who started her career with the company as a branch manager in 1999. “We’re eager to address diverse staffing needs and foster local economic growth while building new partnerships with the people who live and work in Summit, Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties.”
DeLaney and the Spherion Mid Ohio team are deeply committed to community involvement, with a special focus on education and workforce development. They are a recurring sponsor of the Kalahari Classic, a four-day VEX robotics competition in Sandusky, where they run a mock interview station for junior and high school participants. Additionally, Spherion Mid Ohio created its ME, Inc. program in 2016 in response to employer concerns about workforce readiness. The program teaches students essential soft skills, conflict management and personal branding. Beyond schools, DeLaney and her team actively engage with their local chambers of commerce and community organizations, and they plan to continue these efforts as they grow in the region.
Each Spherion office enriches its community by connecting and facilitating employment opportunities every day—and when successful, the office and its investments flow back into the neighborhoods it serves. The power of Spherion is in its local roots.
