Transworld Business Advisors Announces "JT" Jim Tatem as President

Transworld, led by Transworld CEO Andy Cagnetta, United Franchise Group (UFG) CEO Ray Titus, and former Transworld President Bill Luce. As President from 2010 to 2024, Luce helped establish Transworld as a business brokerage firm. With over 30 years in business sales, he joined UFG in 1994. As Tatem steps into his role as President, Luce will stay on with Transworld’s Florida team as a Senior Business Advisor, supporting clients with small to midsize business transactions.

Tatem’s extensive career at UFG, where he served in various leadership roles, including President of UFG’s Established Brands Division, has equipped him with the expertise needed for his new role. At UFG, Tatem oversaw key brands such as Transworld Business Advisors, Signarama, and Fully Promoted.

Tatem is also a current franchisee of the Transworld Business Advisors Western Carolinas franchise, a position he has held since 2016. As he transitions into the President role, his son, Eli Tatem, will take over the daily operations of the Western Carolinas franchise, ensuring continuity and leadership at the local level. JT Tatem’s experience as a franchisee gives him a unique, comprehensive understanding of the brand, from managing a single franchise location to serving at the highest executive levels within the company.

As President of Transworld Business Advisors, Tatem will leverage his 30-plus years of franchise experience to guide the firm’s brokers. His leadership will focus on enhancing Transworld’s services for entrepreneurs seeking to buy, sell, or grow their businesses while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

He is also actively involved in the broader business and franchise community, sitting on boards such as the Carolinas-Virginia Business Broker Association (CVBBA) where he shares his expertise in leadership, entrepreneurship, and franchising.
