November 11, 2024 // Franchising.com // Toronto, Ontario – Metal Supermarkets announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement to bring a fast and convenient metal supply option to businesses and consumers in eastern Pittsburgh.

Wesley Wilkinson and his father, Alan, opened their first Metal Supermarkets store in Cranberry Township in 2018. Alan originally invested in the Metal Supermarkets franchise to build a business legacy for his family. The father and son duo found immediate success, and in 2022, were honored with the Metal Supermarkets Customer Service Award.

To expand the fast and convenient metal supply to even more Pittsburgh customers, Wesley and Jeff Foster, store manager of Metal Supermarkets Pittsburgh (North), have signed a franchise agreement to open a Metal Supermarkets in eastern Pittsburgh, which will be the 4th store in Pennsylvania.

“At our Pittsburgh (North) location, I’ve seen firsthand the immense potential in owning a Metal Supermarkets store,” said Wesley. “The amazing success my father and I have achieved, with the help of Jeff, at our first store has made the decision to open a new franchise location very easy.”

The steel industry has been a cornerstone of Wesley’s professional life, as he brings a wealth of experience in sales, management, and overseeing diverse operations within the sector. In addition to his years of franchise experience, his ability to build strong connections with both customers and suppliers will help be a key part in growing the new store.

Jeff shares a similar steel industry background having held positions in management, purchasing and sales for over 16 years. His experience plus relationships with both customers and suppliers will help lead the future store to significant success.

“My experience as store manager for Metal Supermarkets Pittsburgh (North) made me confident that a new store in eastern Pittsburgh would be a great financial investment,” said Jeff. “I’m eager to partner with Wes to build a strong and lasting business with the authority of the Metal Supermarkets brand.”
