Known for its Southern-inspired menu offerings with innovative twists and signature cocktails, Another Broken Egg Cafe’s Southpark Meadows location will open its doors on Monday, November 18. The opening will include a fundraiser for the Central Texas Food Bank to support hunger relief in the local community.
This opening marks the third cafe for local business owners Nate and Lianne Straathof, a husband-and-wife duo deeply involved in the Austin community. In addition to supporting the Central Texas Food Bank, they’re participants of Back On My Feet, a non-profit combatting homelessness through the power of running, and volunteers with Clean Trail Club, a homegrown group dedicated to picking up litter from the trails and lakes in the Austin area. They also support their local schools with fundraising nights and host an annual dinner for the high school football team. In addition to this new cafe, they also operate Another Broken Egg Cafe locations on Mesa Drive and Frontage Road in the Highland neighborhood.

Offerings at the Southpark Meadows location include core menu items with broad fan appeal like the Shrimp ‘N Grits, Chicken & Waffles, Lobster and Brie Omelette, Huevos Rancheros, Southern Chicken Sandwich and more. Recently, the brand expanded its menu to include six new signature lunch dishes, along with a Lunch Duos option that allows guests to pair half an entrée with a cup of soup or a side salad. In addition, kids can enjoy classic breakfast and lunch offerings including Chocolate Chip Pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, the French Toast Sampler or the Little Rooster (scrambled egg, fresh seasonal fruit, English muffin and baked bacon). The new location also features an enticing and modernized environment where gourmet food and beverages – including a full bar with signature cocktails, mocktails, mimosas and bloody marys – come together to create a highly memorable dining experience for all.
