For more than 35 years, the Chamber has celebrated 60 local businesses, and the Growth category recognizes a company with revenue growth over a 3-year period. This prestigious accolade highlights the business’s consistent growth, success, and impact on the community.

A long-time entrepreneur, Joe Houghton has proudly served the West Springfield community for 34 years and has applied his leadership and management experience to running a successful Maaco location. Under his guidance, Maaco West Springfield has become a trusted destination for collision repair, paint work, insurance claims, and more, handling the full range of vehicle ‘Uh-Ohs’ that drivers encounter.

The dedication of Joe and his team extends beyond the walls of his shop. As a former captain with 21 years of service in the U.S. Army National Guard, Joe actively supports current service members. Previous community initiatives he’s organized include hosting a coat distribution drive for military families and helping to refurbish a vandalized vehicle for a fellow veteran. Additionally, he collaborates with several local organizations to support veterans transitioning to civilian careers, providing mentorship and career resources.

Reflecting on the recognition, Joe attributes his success to his “incredible team,” which includes shop managers Ashley Lewis and Chris Theriaque. Together, they have cultivated a welcoming environment where customers receive top-quality service, and employees find purpose and pride in their work.
