Celebree School Names Mark Lubin as Chief Development Officer to Propel Strategic Growth Plans
Franchise Industry Veteran Brings 25+ Years of Expertise to Leadership Team, Spearheads National Growth Strategy
January 06, 2025 // Franchising.com // BALTIMORE– Celebree School, a leader in early childhood education that provides infant and toddler care, preschool, before and aftercare, and summer camp programs, announces the strategic hire of Mark Lubin as Chief Development Officer. Lubin brings more than 25 years of extensive experience across franchise operations, consulting, and leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving growth and delivering exceptional operational results.
Lubin’s journey to Celebree School began after an inspiring breakfast conversation with Founder and CEO, Richie Huffman, during which the two discussed franchising and growth strategies. This conversation led to Lubin joining the Celebree School Advisory Board of Directors, where he has contributed his insights and passion for franchise support and operational excellence since 2022.
“I’ve always been energized by the work Celebree is doing to grow and support franchisees,” said Lubin. “Joining the team full-time in this role was a natural next step. Celebree’s commitment to integrity, family, and loyalty aligns with my personal values, and I’m excited to be a part of this brand’s incredible growth story.”
Lubin brings a unique perspective to his role at Celebree School, shaped by 16 years on the franchisor side and nine years on the franchisee side with renowned brand, Taco Bell. While overseeing operations for multiple franchisee groups, he gained valuable insights into scaling and supporting multi-unit operations. Additionally, as a former franchisee of The Great Harvest Bread Company, he experienced the challenges and rewards of hands-on business ownership. This dual expertise equips him with a deep understanding of both franchisee expectations and the operational infrastructure necessary to support sustainable growth.
Throughout his career, Lubin has demonstrated a focus on people development and process-driven success, holding key roles most recently as Vice President of Operations at Aarsand & Company (Taco Bell Franchisee) and Senior Vice President of Operations at Kelly Benefits. He has managed large teams, overseen multi-million-dollar operations, and driven profitability through a combination of strategic planning, leadership, and operational excellence.
In his new role at Celebree School, Lubin will focus on ensuring that the franchisee and team member experience are prioritized to deliver exceptional results. “The client’s experience will never exceed the team member’s experience,” Lubin emphasized. “It’s my mission to ensure our team is empowered with the resources and support they need to help our franchisees thrive.”
Lubin resides in White Hall, Maryland, with his wife of 23 years, Dia, and their two sons, Matthew, who serves in the U.S. Coast Guard, and Tommy, a skilled carpenter. A proponent of giving back, Lubin has served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore and Calvert Hall High School Ice Hockey Booster Club.
“Mark is not only a seasoned leader with unmatched expertise in franchise operations and support but also a devoted family man whose values align perfectly with our mission,” said Huffman. “His dedication to integrity, teamwork, and fostering a culture of excellence reflects the foundation of what makes Celebree special. He will undoubtedly play a key role in strengthening our commitment to franchises and the families we serve while we expand our nationwide footprint.”
Today, Celebree School boasts 55 schools open, over 73 franchisees awarded over 160 sites, and an enrollment of more than 7,200 children on a weekly basis who are being protected, educated, and nurtured within the Celebree family. According to Celebree School’s 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the average Gross Revenues for the previous year was $1,726,043 per location*.
