Waters Edge Wineries® Signs Franchise Agreements in Arizona and Texas

February 18, 2025 // Franchising.com // Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – Waters Edge Wineries® today announced it has signed new franchise agreements in Arizona and Texas. The brand has signed with Todd Wiley of TK Partnership LLC to open its first Arizona location in Lake Havasu City, and with Kate Vahdani to open its second Texas location in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas.

Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Havasu will be owned and operated by Todd and Kelly Wiley, who have more than 20 years of combined franchise management experience. Throughout his career, Todd successfully managed three major franchises across Montana, including Godfather’s Pizza, Burger King and Wendy’s. His introduction to winemaking began when his wife, Kelly, enrolled them in a Wine 101 class in Helena. Through that course, the pair explored different wine regions, wine regulations and the art of winemaking. Originally a beer enthusiast, Todd developed a deep appreciation for wine and began making his own wine at home.  Todd seized the opportunity to transform his passion into a business, bringing the winery experience to his Lake Havasu City community.

Kate Vahdani’s background includes 15 years of technology and digital transformation experience, in addition to the management of international and domestic engineering teams. Her experience and love for the Dallas community led her to spend more than a decade serving on the board of directors for local nonprofit DallasGiveCamp, providing free IT services to organizations across the city. Being a wine enthusiast, Kate is opening her Waters Edge Winery & Bistro franchise location with the goals of creating new locally sourced blends and sharing the rich uniqueness of international wine with the Dallas community. Waters Edge Winery & Bistro of Dallas is slated to open this spring and will include two spaces – one building serving as an event space and the other serving as the winery and bistro.

Combining the traditional winery experience with the vibrant wine bar concept, each Waters Edge Winery & Bistro location serves as a lively community hub, offering a distinctive and immersive experience for both novice and expert wine enthusiasts. All wines are crafted in-house, featuring popular selections such as Merlot, Cabernet and Chardonnay, alongside lesser-known varieties like Barolo, Gewürztraminers, Pinotage, Petit Verdot, Port and more. Guests can indulge in bistro-style artisanal offerings, including appetizers, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and desserts, while also enjoying custom bottle labeling for personalized gifts, private tasting areas for groups, an exclusive wine club and more. This inviting atmosphere allows wine lovers to engage with what was once an exclusive lifestyle, making it more accessible and enjoyable.
