Chicken Salad Chick Coming to Temple, Texas

May 20, 2025 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Chicken Salad Chick today announced it is expanding in Texas with the opening of a new store in Temple. The newest Chick is owned and operated by franchise owner, Austin Young. The Chicken Salad Chick Temple team is excited to invite the local community to celebrate this grand opening on Wednesday, June 4. The first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year.

During the grand opening week, local guests can expect to experience the Southern hospitality that Chicken Salad Chick is known for with specials and giveaways that include:

• Wednesday, June 4 – Free Chicken Salad for a Year to the first 100 Guests – The first guest in line will receive one large Quick Chick of chicken salad per week for an entire year. The next 99 guests in line will receive one large Quick Chick of chicken salad per month for a year.* Guests should arrive early to secure a place in line.  
• Thursday, June 5 – The first 50 guests to purchase a Chick Trio will receive a FREE Chicken Salad Chick Canvas Tote Bag.**
• Friday, June 6 – The first 50 guests to purchase a Chick Trio will receive a FREE Chicken Salad Chick Collectible Cup.**
• Saturday, June 7 – The first 50 guests to purchase two small Quick Chicks or one large Quick Chick will receive a FREE Chick Cooler.**

Young opened his first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant located in Waco in 2020.  Young decided to introduce the brand’s signature Southern style chicken salad and made fresh daily menu to the Temple community after many conversations with guests and regulars who expressed wishes of a location in Temple.

“We love Chicken Salad Chick and are so fortunate to have so many positive interactions with our guests. Our Waco location has been a success within the local community, and we frequently serve many guests who visit from Temple asking for a location closer to them. We feel so welcome in the Temple community and are excited to hit the ground running with our new opening,” said Young.

Chicken Salad Chick is known for its dozen-plus variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches, and desserts. The new Temple restaurant offers in-restaurant and outdoor patio dining, a drive thru, take-out, curbside pickup, third-party delivery, and catering options

Chicken Salad Chick gives back to important causes throughout the year, with the CSC Foundation raising money for local food banks and CURE Childhood Cancer. With the Temple opening, the local team will be supporting the Isaiah 117 House as part of their pre-opening Friends & Family events. Isaiah 117 House provides a safe haven for children in the process of foster care placement, providing the comfort, care and shelter they need while child welfare services can pair them with a loving home.

*Guests should arrive early to secure a place in line. The first 100 guests must remain in line and download the Chicken Salad Chick app. Wi-Fi will not be available on site. Once the restaurant opens, guests will make a purchase of “The Chick” or anything of equal/greater value and enter a code in the Chicken Salad Chick app to officially secure their spot. If you leave the line for any reason, your spot will be awarded to the next guest in line. Guests will receive their first free Large Quick Chick electronically to their app the Monday following Grand Opening Day.
