Local Entrepreneurs Open New DQ Restaurant in the Peacock Express

December 09, 2025 // Franchising.com // SPARTA, Tenn. – Ice cream cravings and burger runs just got a new go-to spot. American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), an iconic leader in treats and food, announced today a new DQ Restaurant opening on December 8.

Nicely situated at 315 E Bockman Way in the Peacock Express, the restaurant will be locally owned by the Peacock Group and is perfect for commuters and burger-lovers alike. The group also owns the Corner Cantina Mexican Grill, a Chipotle-style food bar.

“Dairy Queen has always been more than a restaurant—it’s a part of people’s routines and memories,” said Raj Patel. “With our new location here in Sparta, we’re making it even easier for guests on the go to enjoy their favorite treats. Whether you’re fueling up for a road trip, grabbing a quick Blizzard on your commute, or stopping in with family, this DQ is all about convenience and community.”

Guests can enjoy a full menu of DQ favorites, including Signature Stackburgers™, Chicken Strip Baskets, dipped cones, sundaes, shakes, and, of course, the legendary Blizzard® Treats.

Beyond the menu, the Peacock Group is committed to making a difference in the community. The group plans to support East Tennessee Children’s Hospital through Dairy Queen’s longtime partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The restaurant will be open, starting on December 8, located at 315 E Bockman Way, Sparta, TN, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays. The new location also features a single-drive thru.
