Eggs up Grill Officially Opens in Benson, Bringing New Daytime Dining Destination

February 04, 2026 // Franchising.com // SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Eggs Up Grill is now open in Benson, North Carolina. The new restaurant brings the brand’s welcoming breakfast, brunch and lunch experience to the growing Johnston County community.

The Benson location is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Cory Taylor and Laura Cornell. This marks the couple’s first Eggs Up Grill restaurant and their entry into restaurant ownership.

Before opening the restaurant, Laura worked in the medical field while Cory built his career in the service industry. The couple was drawn to Eggs Up Grill after their first visit as guests, inspired by the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the strong sense of community the brand represents.

“From the moment we discovered Eggs Up Grill, it felt like a natural fit for us and for Benson,” said Laura Cornell. “We love being around people, and this restaurant allows us to create a place where families can reconnect and neighbors feel welcome.”

Laura and Cory selected Benson for its business potential and close-knit community, viewing the town as an ideal location for a locally owned daytime cafe rooted in connection and hospitality. They also plan to expand with additional Eggs Up Grill locations in the future.
